As part of the Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance we invite professional guest speakers to give talks to our students. Previous speakers include three engineers from Amazon who were able to give us a virtual tour behind the scenes at the amazing processes the company use. A hospitality manager from Marriott International, a Rolls Royce engineer, retail manager from B&Q, along with various members of the Army which include practical and team building activities before the speech. This academic year, we are trialling a more directed approach. Students have been invited to express interest in as many different industries and careers that they would like more information about via a data capture form. Speakers are then invited to attend a session and students are selected to attend.

Earlier in the year we had over 30 local and national companies come into speak to our students during our biennial careers fair, these included Holkham, Searles, Bespak, Palm Papers, Coastal Vets, the emergency services, the NHS and many more. This gave the students an opportunity, with parents, to speak directly to employers from a host of differing industries.
