Summer School 2021 Report
Smithdon High School Summer School 2021
- The summer school took place over one week, from Monday 2 to Friday 6 August 21 inclusive.
- All 129 new Year 7 students were invited to attend
- Places were taken up by 49 students, of whom 33 were Pupil Premium eligible.
- Monday-Thursday included one hour each of English and Maths each day. The afternoons consisted of:
- Two Science sessions
- A Beach School afternoon
- Food/Cooking session
- An MFL session
- An Art session
- A Music/performance session
- A PE afternoon
- Thursday ended with a Celebration Assembly, with parents invited in to see their children win awards and prizes from the week, as well as a special performance of a song from Matilda by their children.
- Friday was an educational trip to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve.

Maximum Potential Funding: £12,895.00
All activities, resources and snacks provided FOC by the school. Lunch was provided for those eligible for FSM, who accepted our free lunch offer.
